Pre-retirement workshops are being held this Fall to provide information regarding Delaware State Employees' Pension Plan benefits. There is no cost or pre-registration required to attend these workshops. Individual retirement estimates will not be distributed at these workshops. Participants will learn how to prepare their own estimated benefit using the Pension Office website. Please click on the link below for workshop dates, times, and locations".

Requests for estimates and counseling sessions are suspended through September 30, 2013 so that Pension office staff may accommodate the large volume of new pension applications. Requests for estimates and counseling already on file as of 5/22/13 will be honored. Members may use the calculator(s), review pre-retirement information or obtain answers to Frequently Asked Questions by visiting the Office of Pensions website. 2013 Open Enrollment - May 13 through May 29
Open Enrollment is your once-a-year opportunity to review your current coverage and to choose the benefit options that best support your health care needs. Open Enrollment materials will be mailed to your home beginning April 29, 2013.

• Open enrollment for 2013 has ended.

The Delaware Public Employees Pension System (DPERS) hereby gives notice of its intention to adopt amended regulations pursuant to the General Assemblys delegation of authority to adopt such measures found at 29 Delaware Code, '8308(c)(1) and in compliance with Delawares Administrative Procedures Act, 29 Del.C. ''10115 and 10117. The proposed regulations delete obsolete language, bring the regulations into compliance with changes in Federal law, and clarify the definitions of casual/seasonal, regular part-time, substitute, and temporary employee. Identical update and formatting changes are made in each set of regulations. A chart outlining the nature of each change made to each section within each set of regulations follows each set of proposed regulations. A Public Hearing will be conducted on May 31, 2013 at the offices of Delaware Office of Pensions, State of Delaware McArdle Building, 860 Silver Lake Blvd., Suite #1, Dover, DE 19904.
